Site in a Day

Welcome!

Let's get ready to build your website. I'll need a few things from you to get everything ready to build your site.

Step 1

Do you have a domain name?

Most registrars are fine, please purchase one before proceeding.

Pro Tip
I recommend not choosing Network Solutions. They are notoriously slow to propagate. Choose something else like GoDaddy or Cloudflare to purchase your domain.
Step 2

Can you give us some examples of sites you like?

That's plenty — five sites is the max!

Step 3

Your Brand

1
Logo

Have a logo? Upload it here. The bigger and sharper the file, the better — a vector file (SVG) is perfect if you have one. No logo yet? Just skip this.

Drag your logo here, or click to browse
SVG, PNG, JPG, or PDF
2
Brand Colors

Enter up to 5 hex codes — the swatch will fill in as you type.

One of those hex codes doesn't look right — use the #RRGGBB format.

No problem! Coolors is a fun, free tool — press your spacebar to shuffle palettes until one feels like your brand.

Paste the link from your browser's address bar here (optional).

Step 4

Homepage Copy

Let's rough out the words for your homepage, section by section. Don't worry about perfect wording — just get the ideas down.

1
Hero

This is the first thing visitors see. They should immediately understand what you do, who you do it for, and why they should care.

Example: Reliable HVAC Repair for Charlotte Homeowners

Add 1–2 sentences explaining who you help, what you provide, and what makes the service valuable.

Example: We provide fast, dependable heating and air conditioning repair throughout the Charlotte area, with straightforward pricing and experienced technicians.

What is the main thing you want visitors to do?

Example: Get a quote / Call us

2
The Problem / Customer Need

This section tells visitors “You're in the right place. We understand why you're here.”

What problem, frustration, or need usually causes someone to contact you?

Describe the situation from your customer's point of view. What are they struggling with? What are they trying to accomplish?

Example: Finding a contractor shouldn't be stressful. You need someone who shows up when promised, communicates clearly, and does the job correctly the first time.

3
Services

This should quickly explain the main things you sell.

Six services is the max — keep it focused!

4
Trust / Social Proof

Paste a link to your testimonials — Google reviews, Yelp, Facebook, or wherever they live.

Check anything that applies — then tell us a little about it.

Step 5

About You

Not sure what to write? Touch on a few of these:
  • How it started — why did you start the business?
  • Who's behind it — who are you, and who's on the team?
  • Who you serve — your typical customer and your area.
  • How you work — what you believe in; your approach or values.
  • What makes you different — the thing competitors can't say.
  • A human touch — family-owned, local roots, what you love about the work.

A headshot, your team, your shop, your work — anything that helps visitors put a face to the name. Up to 4 photos.

Drag photos here, or click to browse
JPG, PNG, or WebP
Step 6

Your Services, Expanded

Each service you listed gets its own space on the site. Here's your chance to go deeper than the one-liner.

For each service, try to cover:
  • What's included — the specifics people always ask about.
  • Your process — what happens after they call or book?
  • Problems it solves — the situations that bring people to you.
  • How pricing works — flat rate, estimate, hourly? No numbers needed.
  • Timing — how fast can you get to them, and how long does it take?
Step 7

Contact

1
How can customers reach you?

If customers visit you, we'll show this on the site (and it helps with local search). Skip it if you work from home or on the road.

That phone number doesn't look right.
That email doesn't look right.
2
Your contact form

What should visitors fill out when they reach out to you? We've pre-checked the essentials — add or remove whatever you like.

Add any other question or field you want on the form.

Step 8

Going Live!

Almost there — let's figure out where your site will live.

We recommend signing up for a GitHub account and a Vercel account — both are free.

Please link your GitHub profile — github.com/yourusername
$9per month
We'll handle the hosting for you — your site stays online, backed up, and cared for. Cancel anytime.
Final Step

Almost done!

A few things still need your attention before we can build:
